Carolyn is chatting away now! Her ventilator was removed and she is talking, talking, talking. What a wonderful blessing to be able to communicate now. She is giving us a list of things she needs, and people to call, so nice to have our mother/wife back with us! She asks some questions about what is going to happen, and we assure her things will happen in time, and to take one day at a time. Your prayers are greatly appreciated.

  1. So happy to hear Carolyn is alert and talkative. I can just hear her now! From a physical therapist's perspective, I can say I think she'll make great gains and be a perfect patient...always wanting to work harder. Is she getting physical therapy (PT)yet? If not, you could ask the physician to order it at least to work on keeping her artificial knee flexible. Let me know if you have any PT questions! Love, Little Jill

  4. Aunt Carolyn,

We just found out about your accident last night. We are all praying for you and your recovery. I am happy about your progress so far. You are strong, athletic and strong-willed which should all aid in your recovery.

When I hear you are up to talking with visitors, I will call.

  5. Carolyn,

I was quit upset to hear of your accident.
I am confident, nonetheless, that your strenght, possitive outlook on life, the support of Jerry and your daughters will lead to a recovery. Your mouth is already working for 200% and that is a good sign!

All the best from the Netherlands,

    Peter M. Meijer
