We would like to ask that you please call before coming to the hospital. Mom is using all her energy to move and work on getting well. At this time only family will be allowed to see her at her request. You are welcome to come to the waiting area SICU where we are "camped out". Thank you for your understanding.

ps. I am praying through 2 Sam. 22:1-34 for you - Though it's content is primarily related to David's deliverance from Saul and David's enemies, the emphasis is on the Lord's power and deliverance. I pray that if you read this passage, you, too, will receive hope and encouragement.

  3. Oh my... already the ripples bring blessing, dearest Carolyn! You bring so many to Jesus' feet, to His heart! Yes, it's on your behalf, but how can we not leave untouched by His hem. You are a minister of His presence - giving us great purpose to come to Him, and we then find ourselves blessed to have been in His presence, when perhaps we would have been somewhere else instead! Thank you, Carolyn, for this gift!!!

As I sensed His urging: "Psalm 46", as I went to write on Tuesday Bible's card, I easily recalled the 'everpresent refuge in times of trouble', and the river that makes the city glad, but, until I came home last night and looked it up in its entirety, I forgot about the part about "God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day" !! Yes, I am tempted to wince, but then I look w/ confidence at our Lord and know that He IS INDEED within you, is helping you, and there are so many other possible scenarios that could have happened Sunday am. And... then I lift my arms in praise as I read "Come and see the works of the Lord... He makes wars to cease, He breaks the bow, shatters the spear, burns the shields.." - The 'wars' within, He comes to cease. He is the One Who, as we let Him, brings true REST to our souls, as he puts away those means by which we try to gain victory. In place of 'bow, spear and shield', He calls us to 'be still and know'. And, yes, He will BE EXALTED. He IS being exalted. The Lord Almighty is WITH us!! I pray, with great expectation and confidence, that His "with-ness" will be seen far and wide in amazing ways!!

AAAH - His presence is sweet.
